Bolton Castle is superb medieval castle with lots to do for the whole family. From fun activities to historic tours, there's lots that bring the castle to life. The castle is one of the country's best preserved medieval castles and has over 600 years of fascinating history. 

There's a range of daily activities too. Witness the flying displays from the hawks and owls and watch them swoop with the backdrop of the castle.

Experience the wild boar feeding time and learn about archery in sport, hunting and warfare during the medieval archery talks. Don't forget to pay the Wensleydale sheep a visit too and the bees in their hives!

The castle is the ideal venue to learn about Medieval life and the English Civil Wall. Around one third of the rooms are still intact and the castle is still fully accessible which gives a great insight into the past.

The rooms display castle life as it would have been for the different members such as cooks, monks and many more! 

There's also opportunities to take part in a falconry experience. You can handle and fly a selection of owls at the castle under the supervision of the staff, and after the hour long experience you'll even get a photo with them too!
