Ripley Castle is one of Yorkshire's historic landmarks and is just three miles from Harrogate on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It's set in the most beautiful location as there's lots of history to learn for the whole family.
There's a whole range of outdoor activities to, no matter what you're looking for, you'll have an experiencwe to remember! The team guide will take you around the grounds, showing you the range of activities.
From swinging through the trees, archery or even learn how to bush craft skills from a survival expert, there's lots on offer! For the energetic, there's body zorbing too and caoeing and kayaking. You can even try and build your own raft!
Don't forget to stroll through the deer park too. The oak trees you'll see are thousands of years old and they stand towering above the fields.
You'll see plenty of wildlife along the way, including deer, rabbits, squirrels, woodpeckers and much more. The park trail walk takes you round the castle's large ornamental lake and you'll get to see the waterfall too!

Ripley was built on fairly level ground, so progress is relatively unhindered throughout the village. The Market Square is cobbled but a good tarmacadam road runs the full length from the Main Street to the Castle gates.
