Brimham Rocks has a vast collection of dramatic rock formations to explore! They were created by a river over 100 million years ago, before the first dinosaured walked the earth!
The rocks provide a great place of adventure for all the family, but be careful! The rocks can be slipper when wet so keep an eye on children, particularly around the steep slopes.
There are many holes, tubes and tunnels to explore, but the smartie tube is the famous one! The Easle can be seen from Brinham House and shows how rocks are perfoming a balancing act! The dancing bear is an example of bedding planes and they were formed from the changing course of a river.
You'll find a visitor centre that houses a photographic exhibitions about the social and geological history of Brimham, with a short video showing how the ranger team manages the moorland.
As well as the rocks, there are lots of wildlife! You'll see spiders, beetles and birds such as the red grouse. See what you can come across on your stroll!
You can also cycle your way around too, although challenging, you'll be rewarded with spectacular views!
