Bolton Abbey is a 30,000 acre estate where you can take a riverside walk, discover fantastical sculptures in the scrubland and woodland and explore with the whole family! There's plenty to see that will make for a great day out.
Take a walk across the stepping stones. There's 60 of them in total and they offer a fun and challenging experience for visitors. Don't worry, there's a bridge offering dry passage too! Just north of the stepping stones is a large beach, which is popular in the Summer and you can have a paddle in the river.
Follow the path from the stepping stones and through the woodlands and you may spot a money tree! The tree is filled with coins and you can try and pull some out!
Strid Wood is one of the largest oaktrees in the dales and the woodlands is home to lots of wildlife including deer, otters, knigfishers and more. Walk the paths and take in the view along the nature trails.
At the heart of the estate is the Priory Church and Ruins in a riverside setting. Learn about the church and it's history or sit back and relax and admire the view from afar.
