Vogrie Country Park is a great location for outdoor activities and to get the whole family outside in some beautiful surroundings! There are 105 hectares of woods and parklands, adventure playgrounds a cafe to sit down and relax in!
There are around 11.5 miles of signed countryside paths through woodlands and the stunning Tyne Valley. If you're a horse rider, there's also a 13 miles trail too! There's a chouce of roots available for all abilities, from short to long trails.
You'll find a mix of habitats including woodlands, ponds, streams and more and there's a variety of diverse species that call the park their home.
They have a ranger service too that haold educational sessions, volunteering and free resources boxs too that will help you explore the area. They offer guided tours too so make sure to check out the events section on their website to see when they are!
There is an adventure play area, with a dedicated toddler section where the kids can climb, run and jump through the obstacles and let off some steam. Thee's even regular activities such as pond dipping for children too.
Enjoy a picnic on the open lawn or have a BBQ as there are two sites available for private hire if you have a special event.
There's so much to explore and do and makes a great day out for when the weather is nice!
To get to Vogrie Country Park from the A68, take the B6372 signposted for Gorebridge and Vogrie Country Park. The park entrance is on the left-hand-side about 1 mile after Dewartown village.

There is a cafe in the ground floor of Vogrie House and lots of places to have a picnic.
When you come to Vogrie, bring a picnic and your wet weather gear (just in case!) and a camera to record your day!
