Gorgie City Farm is an urban farm with plenty of educational and learning opportunities to be had. It's situated near Edinburgh's railway line and is a piece of countryside right in the heart of Edinburgh! 

The farm is home to many popular farm animals that the whole family will enjoy. From goats to guinea pigs, ducks, chickens,reptiles and alpacas - there's even a chance to sponsor one of them too! The farm gives opportunities to get hands on, how to keep them happy and how to care for the animals properly too. 

They also offer alpaca trekking too! Enjoy a tour around the farm with your alpaca and see some of then animals along the way. Anyone from the ages of three can take park and the treks last for around 30 minutes. 

On site you'll find an educational centre which makes for a great school trip for the class where you'll learn lots about the environment and the animals themselves. 

When you're visiting why not pop into the cafe for a snack! They have lots of hot and cold refreshments and freshly baked cakes and more. There's also an outdoor play area next to the cafe so parents can sit back and relax! 

They sell feed for the larger animals in the farm shop and you can feed goats, sheep and alpacas. Just don't feed any of the other ones!
