About this activity

Inverleith Park is a major public park in the city of Edinburgh, just a little north from the cit centre! It's free to the public and hosts major events throughout the year!

The park covers 54 acres and is one of Edinburgh's largest open green spaces, and has three football, four rugby and six seven a side pitches, and even a cricket square too! So if you want to gather your friends and family from some sports, this is a great place to visit.

As well as the open spaces, there is also a boating pond too which is home to plenty of swans and ducks and wooden walkways with tall reeds too. See what wildlife you can spot when you visit. You'll also capture great views of Edinburgh Castle too and it's a great viewing point for firework displays.

You'll find a sundial garden and lots of opportunities to walk and cycle the trails from one end of the park to the other. Bring your bikes and cycle around the park! There's also a children's play park too, so the kids can run around and have fun! The north west quadrant of the park was  given over to allotments, small gardens which are rented by the city to local residents for growing fruit and vegetables.
