Midlothian Snowsports Centre offers skiing, snowboarding and race training for all levels and abilities, and tubing for the little ones too! The centre offers a range of activities that will get the children to fall in love with winter sports!
The centre is set in the hillside of Pentland Hills Regional Park and has two main slopes, three nursery slopes and a fun slope for freestyling! The slopes are artificial so you can enjoy snowsports all year round.
A ride on the chairlift is a great way to enjoy the views. Hop off at the top and hop straight back on, you can ride up two together too!
The fun slope was designed by Briton Engineering and has a number of different pitches, jumps and other features for beginners to elite athletes. You must be a competent skier or snowboarder for a chance to go on the fun slope.
The centre also offers lessons for the whole family in skiing and snowboarding all by experienced instructors. All abilities are catered for and it's a great chance to learn new skills or improve on your abilities.
Did you know they do tubing too?
You'll slide down the hill which is fun for the whole family! You'll sit in an inflatable doughnut with a smooth based and you must be at least four years old. Remember to wear appropriate clothing and they'll provide helmets if you need them
Exit Edinburgh City Bypass at Lothianburn junction. Head for Biggar on A702. They are 1/2 mile from the junction on the right. (Just after The Steading restaurant).
