The National War Museum is where the whole family can explore the various galleries together, and discover uniforms, insignia and equipment, even medals and decorations, all relating to Scottish conflict history.

Ask about anything fun for kids to make their experience better, such as downloading their trail and stepping into the shoes of First World War recruits arriving at Edinburgh Castle. It includes a map and a range of activities for 8–11 year olds.
There is a museum shop which is a great place to stop and pick up those gifts and souvenirs!
