Edinburgh Zoo is the largest and most exciting wildlife attraction in Scotland! They have a variety of popular zoo animals including lions, lemurs and even the iconic giant panda which is the star of the show!
They have two giant panda at the zoo and both were born in 2003. They are the only giant pandas in the UK so the zoo is well worth the visit. As well as the animals themselves, they also offer animal experiences and magic moments where you can get up close to some of your favourite ones.
You can be a keeper for the day or half a day and do everything that a real life zookeeper does! There's also the magic moments where you can choose from a range of animals to have a close encounter with and learn all about them.
The zoo also has the largest outdoor penguin pool in Europe with over 100 penguins in total! Watch their king playing in the waterfall or sliding down the shoot, there's always lots of exciting things happening at penguins rocks.
You can also step back in time and immerse yourself in their walk-through dinosaur exhibition! Meet the dinosaurs and see them move and roar! See what iconic dinosaurs you can see on your way around through the exhibit.
For the smallest of animals, there is a wee beasties exhibit which is home to reptiles and insects and you'll learn about the important role they have in the ecosystem.
Don't forget to head to the daily talks too where you'll see some of the animals being fed and also learn a whole heap of facts about them!
