Parndon Wood Nature Reserve is an area of ancient woodland, home to a variety of wildlife including birds, mammals, deer and more! Explore the woodlands and see what you can find on your way around.
The nature reserve is a special site for scientific interest due to the variety of flora on site, and has received a Green Flag Award too! On your visit you can follow the 1.5km trail or simply explore the many tracks and paths and go your own way!
There are three observation hides along the park, so if you wait quietly you may even see some deer or a green woodpecker, but remember to be quiet!
There is a conservation centre on site where you can learn about the wildlife from the speciments, taxidermy and information posters - great if the little ones are nature lovers and want to find out more about the area in which they live!
The kids can hire bug hunting kits, build dens, hire binoculars and complete the spotter sheets. During the school holidays there are plenty of activities too!
