Epping Forest and Visitor Centre

Epping Forest and Visitor Centre is a large parkland and green space that is steeped in history ans full of character! It forms a direct green link between London and rural Essex and is just short walk or tube ride from the capital. 

The visitor centre is a great place to start your visit to the heart of the forest. There are many nearby forest trails, picnic areas and cafes and the centre is run by volunteers, so make sure you ask them any questions you have as they love sharing information! 

They've welcomed over 100,000 visitors in total and are very knowledgeable! At the centre you can pick up maps and find out the best trails to go on, visit the forest exhibitions which are always changing and even get a close up viewing of the birds at the feeding station. 

They also run lots of children's activities from the centre too including scavenger hunts and activity sheets to use whilst you venture into the forest. 

It's the perfect place to explore nature and a new area as you wonder through the forest and learn all about the area.
