Weald Country Park is known for its deer and boasts spectacular views covering over 520 acres of woodlands, meadows and grasslands. There's plenty to explore for all ages as you enjoy a fantastic day out in nature.
The park originated as a medieval deer park during the 12th century and you can get up close to the resident deers in the enclosure! Deer and duck food is available to buy in the visitor centre and there's plenty of feeding chutes set up around the enclosure for everyone to use.
There is also a Stick May play trail which is based on a book by Julia Donaldson. It inspires imaginative play and is free to use during the opening hours of the park. You can pick up a map from the visitor centre for a small fee too.
Close to the visitor centre is a kids play area complete with swings, slides, and climbing frames and a den building area too!
The park is a great place to picnic too and there's plenty of wide open spaces for walking, with lots of routes for all abilities too.
