Hopefield Animal Sanctuary cares for a variety of animals and sits on 53 acres of beautiful countryside in the heart of Brentwood. The sanctuary cares for over 500 sick and unwanted animals and they provide education and awareness for all visitors.
You can take a gentle stroll around the grounds or sit and relax and enjoy nature! There's so many different species and they all have their own unique personality. You can also take park in the Hopefield Trail and test your animal knowledge.
There's a variety of animals including donkeys, cats, snakes, birds, dogs, fox, cows, parrots, pigs, owls and so much more! All enjoy a loving home at the sanctuary!
The exotic animals are now only allowed on public display for a maximum of six days per year on the exotic animal welfare days where they'll be viewable. You can visit the website to find out when these days are!
Some of the animals are quite shy so you can't touch all of them, but some may come over and say hello!
They have lots of events all year round, including family fun weekends where there are funfair rides, inflatabes, entertainment and much more!

Max’s Café serves sandwiches, baguettes, cakes, snacks, and hot & cold drinks. You can eat inside the tearoom, the tearoom marquee, or out outdoor eating area located in the events field.
Most areas of the sanctuary are on grass / mud / woodchip terrain which can become very muddy and uneven during the wetter months, and wouldn’t be accessible by wheelchair unfortunately.
