Kettles Yard is located in the centre of Cambridge and has lots of exhibitions, collections, activities and workshops for the whole family to enjoy, no matter what the weather is like!
Kettle's Yard is the University of Cambridge's modern art gallery and is set in a beautiful house. The museum welcomes families, with lots of free and paid for activities for kids to get involved in.
In the cafe you'll be able to pick up and activity sheet and find out how Jim and Helen Ede welcomes visitors to their dining room in the house. Head to the information desk too and you'll get a free family guide, which encourages you to think aboutside the box and explore new perspectives of art.
There are also activity booklets too which are on the theme of light, nature and space and explore different rooms in the house and even gets you to think about your own gallery space.
They also have free studio sunday sessions in the studio to help unleash your creativity. They have lots going on all year round, so make sure to check the website before you visit so you know what's happening where and when.
The museum is also the ideal place for schools to visit as they'll be inspired about art and new ways of learning! You can opt for virtual or in-person visits, artist lef workshops and there's plenty of activities to suit your needs to. Just get in touch with them to arrange your visit.
By Road from London; the South or the West
M11, exit J13. Turn right onto the A1303 into Cambridge (Madingley Road). At the end of this road, you will come to a mini roundabout. Turn left (lane marked straight on) onto Northampton St. Take the first left into Pound Hill (just before the Punter pub); you will find a number of metered parking spaces here.

Kettle’s Yard offers a range of ways to inspire your students and enrich your teaching, including in-person and virtual visits, artist-led workshops and a range of online resources.
The galleries, entrance area and education wing are all fully wheelchair accessible.
