Wicken Fen Nature Reserve is one of the oldest nature reserves and is England's most famous fen. There's plenty of opportunities for the family to get outside, explore the wildlife and get closer to nature.
The reserve supports lots of wildlife and there are more than 9000 species in total, covering plants, birds and dragonflies. There are raised boardwalks that allow you to get lost in the landscape, with flowering meadows, reeds and more!
You can also explore the reserve on two wheels and enjoy a family bike ride to discover the wildlife in the wider reserve. They have have a cycle hire centre with a range of bikes available to hire.
Why not enjoy a boat trip too? The 50 minute trips run from April to October and the expert driver will tell you all about the features of the Fen and answer any questions you may have.
