Cambridge Museum of Technology is where you'll learn about Cambridgeshire's industrial heritage and the storage of sewage and waster disposal in the Victorian Pumping Station.
Children will get the chance to explore indoor and outdoor areas in a relaxed atmosphere and everything is free to explore and touch! There are changing family trails and explorer boxes which you'll get free with your entry and activity stations with puzzles, smells, colouring and more all around the museum.
There are push button-operated models and machinery in the steam engine room and top bay and lots of dressing up costumes inspired by historic Cambridge workers.
There is an interactive model of the pumping station complete with a flushing toilet and Victorian outdoor games includes skittles and quoits on the artificial lawn. Every Sunday there are printing demonstrations and activities too, so make sure to check that out!
On arrival, you'll get a short introduction to the museum which features a short film and you're free to explore the whole museum and the different rooms too.

The Museum is on Riverside, part of National Cycle Route 11. It is an easy 10 minute cycle from the city centre. The Museum is a pleasant and peaceful 25 minute walk along the River Cam from the city centre.
