About this activity

Deep Sea World is Scotland's national aquarium and is the chance for the whole family to learn about some incredible animals from around the world. From tiny frogs to huge sharks, there are lots of animals on display to explore. 

The aquarium has lots of exhibits. The Amazon exhibit has eight species and two tanks and tends to be the competitive when it comes to feeding time too! You'll see the red belled piranha red tailed catfish and much more. 

The Apogon exhibit has three spcies and one tank and has the prcupine pufferfish and orental sweetlips to admire. 

Discover the wide variety of creatures that live in the native waters in rockpools and find out about all the different animals you find on the local beach! 

The Seal Harbour has three resident seals and you can often find them sunbathing on their own beach or playing in the pool. They're really friendly and they might even give you a wave if you say hi to them. 

The Temple of Frogs has frogs from across the world and The Swamp if filled with hundreds of tiny and colourful fish. 

Of course a visit isn't complete without visiting the Tropics! With lots of colourful fish including the popular clowfish you can admire them swimming around in the warm waters. 

They also have the UK's longest underwater moving walkway ride, with it being 112 metres! You'll be surrounded by sharks, rays and more and you may even spot a diver feeding the sharks!

From the South: Follow signs for Forth Road Bridge. Once across the bridge, take the first exit left and follow the brown tourist signs for Deep Sea World.

From the North: Turn off the M90 at Junction 1 and follow the brown tourist signs for Deep Sea World.
