Fletcher Moss Park and Parsonage Gardens offer a wonderful nature filled day out for the whole family in Manchester.
Your first port of call is worth being the Visitor Centre, which is a small room that can be found at the base of the Croft building. Here you can find information on the history of the park, as well as the work the volunteers do, and even information on the birds who call the park home! There is even a small library for kids where they are encouraged to draw pictures of their park!
Fletcher Moss Park and Parsonage Gardens offer some great activities for all ages, and especially kids often love the park as they can find plenty of spaces to run around safely, as well as plenty of toddler-friendly spaces free from dogs.
Kids can climb trees in Stenner Woods, or even ride a bike, and play football when the surfaces are dry! Many of the adults who visit have their own fun memories of visiting the park with their own parents or grandparents when they were young.
It's worth noting that they do ask that parents do not allow their children to climb the rocks in the Alpine Garden/ Rockery.
Also at the park you'll find tennis courts, as well as ice cream! What's not to love!
There are 3 entrances to the Park:
Millgate Lane M20 2SD. (a small car park with 2 spaces for disabled visitors)

The Alpine Tea Room is the perfect place to grab something to eat and enjoy picnic style!
Each school holiday the parents of a local primary school, Broad Oak, run a Hearts Trail in the park. This lets children explore and get to know the park and is always on a different theme.
Trail sheets can be collected from the café and participants are asked to donate to the school parent/teacher fund.
All areas at the Parsonage are accessible.
Most of the paths within Fletcher Moss Park are suitable for pushchairs but wheelchair users may find some paths a little more challenging. Paths including those leading to the river are shale, not asphalt.
They have disabled toilets.
There are tennis courts within the park but there is a charge to use these
