Alderley Edge is a dramatic countryside site with impressive views across Cheshire and the Wirral. there are plenty of walks through open pastures, woodlands and more and you can discover the highest point too which was originally a Bronze Age burial mound.
Recently, they have installed a new digital research project which tells the stories of this place in a new way. All you need to do is download the Invisible Worlds app and you'll be able to explore the area with augmented reality wizards, knights and horses appearing throughout the landscape.

Discover a variety of woodland birds and you can see the nest boxes around the woods too which helps encourage small woodland birds. You'll see woodpeckers, ravens and even see or hear a tawny owl!
The Armada BEacon was built on top of a BRonze Age burial mound and is the highest point of the Edge. In it's place is a memorial stone which has been placed on the summit.
Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for over 20 species of butterfly too, there's lots all around Alderley Edge.
You'll also find a tea room serving hot and cold food and drinks too with indoor and outdoor seating so you can sit down and relax!
