Wythenshawe Park is set in 109 hectares of parkland in the South of Manchester. There are woodlands, flowers, open grasslands and more to explore all year round. It's open dawn to dusk daily and it's a great place to get the kids to burn off some energy!
There are three Grade II buildings within it's boundaries if you wanted to explore somewhere indoors. Including North Lodge, the Stature of Oliver Cromwell and Wythenshawe Hall. On site, you'll find the community farm. Its open seven days a week from 11:30am - 4pm. The farm gives children a chance to learn all about where food comes from. There are cows, sheep, goats, ducks and more and there's also baby animals on site!
If you wanted to do something active, then the pump track is a fun way to build up your skills and burn off some energy! Practice makes perfect, so once you build up your skills you'll be able to get creative with your abilities.
You'll also find the Horticultural Centre and there are permanent displays including the safari walk which features tropical plants. The outdoor area has lots of beautiful gardens too which provides a relaxing place to go. There's also a large pong and picnic area.
If you love bees then there is a Bee Club that meets every Saturday! They're dedicated to promoting safe and fun bee-keeping with regular hands-on activities all year round, and new members are always welcome!
In total, there are thirteen woodlands in the park to explore. From the Mere Wood to The Oval, there are so many to get lost in!
As well as this, there is an athletics track, family trails, baseball field, football pitches, games area and so much more. So no matter what you want to do, whether you want to play a spot of football or simple wander through the woods, there's something for everyone that will keep the whole family entertained.
Leave M60 at Junction 5, or M56 at Junction 3, onto Princess Parkway; turn off onto B5166 west towards Sale Moor, then at the first traffic lights turn left towards Brooklands on the B5167, Wythenshawe Road. Drive half a mile and turn into the Park main entrance on your left. Use Postcode M23 0AB for Satnav directions. 100 metres beyond this is the entrance to the Athletics Track.

The Courtyard Cafe sells a selection of meals and homemade cakes and hot drinks.
There are two disabled toilets in the park, one in the Courtyard Café and one at the Horticultural Centre.
