Oxburgh Estate

About this activity

Oxburgh Estate is home to the Bedingfeld family for over 500 years and showcases a moated medieval manor house, Victoria Gothic interiors and a garden and parkland with plenty of wildlife to spot. 

There's plenty to do for families here at the estate, with den building, nature explorer and lots of secret doorways to search for. Pick up an activity sheet at the information hut for the children which will help support little ones on their day out. 

Check out the natural play area which has been created from 17th century wood, and is a great place for walks, den building and for spotting wildlife. The walled garden has a kitchen garden and orchard, so see what you can find growing, from apples to rhubarb and tomatoes! 

In the gun room, little ones will be able to dress up as a building and build your own Oxburgh Estate - you can even make friends with a death watch beetle! 

The estate hosts lots of events all year round, so make sure to check the website before you visit so you know what's happening!
