Peckover House and Garden is an elegant Georgian town house, complete with walled garden in Wisbech in Cambridgeshire. It's a hidden gem and it's a great chance to get outside and explore the grounds!
The house itself was home to the Peckover family for 150 years and was built in 1722. You'll uncover the rich history with tales within each room and guides ready to talk you through them! There is the banking hall where huge brick vaults once held gold and silver coins, the library complete with hundreds of books and the dinking room where the family ate.
If you wanted to head outside, the garden showcases plenty of colours, smells and flowers and plants on display. There is a hude orangery, enchanting summerhouses and rose gardens too. There's 70 varieties in total!
The orchard lawn has fruit trees, which is available to visitors and staff at the site and the gardeners are always happy to answer any questions you have too. Pick up a guide from the summerhouse to work your way around too.
