The Silver Mountain Experience

The Silver Mountain Experience is a place where history, myths and legends collide! Embark on an adventured with a variety of guided tours as you discover the history of the silver-lead mine, experince Welsh myths and much more! 

The Dragons Tale Tour will have you joining the knight in his quest as you try and find the shy dragon! Follow the clues and crack the codes as you head out on an exciting actor-led experience which is perfect for children under the age of eight. 

The Black Chasm will have you descending into darkness and discover the history of mid Wales and the awful mining creatures. It features strobe lighting, smoke and sound effects and lots of screams so it's not suitabled for under 10s! 

A Miners Life is a guided tour that walks you through the rare setting of the 250 year old mind, above and below the ground. Find out about the facts of mining life and get access to the exclusive areas, including the Ore Crusher!

As well as the tours, there's a play area with climing frames, slides, sandpits and diggers and even the silver river water play in the Summer. 

Lose yourself in the magic of Woo Hoo Woods, have a go at den building, play on the pan pipes or explore the maze - just try not to get lost! Navigate the Wobbly Logs or find the puzzle and test your skills at solving it, just watch out for the creatures in the woods! 

The mining museum has a range of artefacts from the era of mining in Wales and you'll learn about the tools and people that used to work in the mines in Wales.
