Snowdon Mountain Railway offers you a once in a lifetime adventure and has been described as one of the most scenic railway journeys in the world! You'll depart from Llanberis Station and begin your climb up Snowdon which is a journed experience by 12 million travellers since 1896!
After your leave the station you'll cross the Afon Hwch river and watch as the waterfall plunges below! As the train emerges into the countryside you'll see the Summit of Snowdon. You'll find that the landscape is dotted with abandoned dwellings that once houses local families too.
The halfway station is where the steam engines stop to refill their water tanks, ready for the final ascent! Did you know it was once famous for its lemonade? You'll also see the walkers down on the path too who are making their climb.
In the Summr, you'll be able to go straight to the summie! Hafod Eryri is the UK's highest visitor centre and has great views of the valleys. On clear day, the views can stretch out as far as Ireland! You'll have a 30 minute stop where you can venture to the cairn too.
The summit cafe sels hot and cold drinks, souvenirs and much more, you can even purchase a postcard and send it from the summit post box!
On your journey, you'll see lots of wildlifes.Including the falcon, raven and much more. There's also goats, polecats, otters too so make sure you eep a watchful eye out and see what you can find!
You'll travel with a combination of other passengers on the contemporary diesel carriages or you can go on a Heritage Steam Experience too.

The shop has a selection of authentic Welsh products including locally crafted ales and spirits, unique Snowdon Mountain Railway souvenirs, clothing and Celtic jewellery.
Snowdon Mountain Railway operates a disabled access policy. Wheelchair users and passengers with mobility issues are asked to call them to discuss any particular requirements prior to booking.
