About this activity

Penrhyn Castle is a fantasy castle with industrial and colonial foundations and it's unique architecture makes the perfect place to explore with the hole family. Explore the rooms, stairways and kitchens and grounds and take in the views of Snowdonia and the North Wales coast.

The castle itself has stunning decorated rooms that you can explore and see how the Pennant family and their guests dined and played! The Gothic carved stairways are a sight to behold and underneath are the Victorian kitchens. Explore the library, drawing room with with elegant furniture and the Ebony Room where Lady Penrhyn would write her letters!

The rooms inside the castle have the best views of Snowdonia and the Keep BEdrooms may only be available to see on tours, but the staff will let you know! It contains a bras bed fit for a king with its imperial crown placed on top.

Outside, the gardens are filled with adventure. There are regular welly walks where you'll head out onto the grounds in the Winter season and keep your eyes peeled for wildlife.

The Bog Garden has huge leaves during te spring and summer and there's a lookout point too for an elevated view. The Walled Garden is peaceful and tranquil, so don't forget to take it all in. The gardens are a perfect stop for a picnic as you'll have views all around and the little ones can run to their hearts content!

There's a wooden hide play area too and over 60 acres of parkland to enjoy!
