About this activity

Speke Hall is a green oasis on the edge of Liverpool, with a rare Tudor house to explore! It's a National Trust site, and is home to manicured lawns, woodlands and a manor that is full of personality.

You can wander through the rooms at the house and learn about the fascinating history of Speke Hall and its residents. There are staff around the house that can lend a hand and you may even spot some Tudor ladies and gentlemen making their way through! Downstairs, you'll find William Morris original wallpaper and is a must see for any art fans! On the Great Hall floor you might spot a fossill or too which is the oldest feature in the house!

Outside, there's lots of family friendly activities! There is a giant hedge maze with 12 gates, five bridges and more, with a special viewing platform too! There's a zip wire which is 30-feet long in the woodland play area and kids will have fun zooming up and down.

If you fancy going on an adventure, the Giant Childe of Hale Trail is a must! You'll start at the woodland adventured at the sculptured play trail and look out for giant buttons, optical illusions and even some musical instruments that you can play! Of course, there's always the play area too for children to run about and climb. In the woodland play area there's a chain bridge, stepping stones and balancing obstacles to navigate.

The garden at Speke Hall is filled with colour and there's lots of places to relax and escape. There's also a secret garden in the grounds too! Accessible via a narraow tunnel and a winding path, with a gentle stream running through it. Keep your eyes open for the wildlife!
