Merseyside Maritime Museum is a great place to visit if you want to learn more about Liverpool's seafaring past and find out about life at sea! From the Titanic Collection to Liverpool shipping posters, there's so much to explore for all ages. 

The Titanic was registered in Liverpool and has strong links to the port. The collection tells the story of the ship's connections to the city and how the loss impaced the people of Liverpool. The shipping posters documents more than a century of travel from the mid 19th century to the early 1990s. See how advertisements have developed and changed over the years!

There's also lots of tours, events and exhibitions all year round. Head out on the old dock tour and discover the origin of Liverpool's fortune buried underneath! You'll discover how a brave ideas shapred Liverpool's destiny forever! The life on board gallery explores the stories of Liverpool's passengers.

For families, there are lots of fun interactive activities! See the models of ships emigrant sailed on as they left Liverpool for a new life, or find out what it takes to become a sailor! Find out all about life at sea. And there's more! You'll discover the vital role Liverpool played in the Second World War too! 

There's also performances retelling the Titanic disaste ad music from the Titanic era for a real immersive experience. Make sure you check out the website so you know what's happening when and where before you visit.

Follow signposts for the Royal Albert Dock from the motorway and other main routes into the city centre. There are car parks on site in the Royal Albert Dock complex and in the nearby Liverpool One complex opposite the entrance to the Royal Albert Dock.

Baby changing facilities are available on the ground and third floors.

There is a café on the ground floor.

There is a shop on the ground floor.

The museum welcomes school groups and visits and must be booked in advance.

There are three blue badge parking spaces in the car park on the left hand side of the road leading into the Royal Albert Dock, opposite the Dr Martin Luther King Jr Building. Three wheelchairs are available to borrow. Please ask at the information desk when you arrive.
