About this activity

Museum of Liverpool is on the waterfront and you'll delve into the fascinating and diverse history of Liverpool. You'll explore the vast collection of archaeology, transport and even The Beatles Collection at the museum celebrates all things Liverpool.

The social and community history collection includes objects of local, national and international importance, including diverse stories and experiences of Liverpool people. It focuses on popular culture, entertainment, working life, politics and public health. The archaeology collection includes objects from the Mesolithic to the modern periods and provides evidence into how Merseyside life has evolved.

As well as the collections, there are lots of events and exhibitions throughout the year, both permanent and temporary. The Wondrous Place gallery is where you'll explore Liverpool's internationally recognised talent across music, sport and TV. Including iconic BEatles suits, Spirce Girl Mel C's stage costuume and much more!

For children under the age of six, why not check out Little Liverpool? It's a hands-on fantasy world with fun activities for children to play and learn. Each session is around 30 minutes and there's lots to explore!

There's a water interactive display where children can sail boats, run cars and more and helps them understand the cities environment and wildlife. There's the A to Z of objects where each letter station features an interactive to explore. The Liver bird's nest is a multi-sensory pod for babies too, and you'll take your shoes off and relax in the nest!
