About Rhyl SeaQuarium

Rhyl SeaQuarium has an open seafront location and sits on the beautiful North Wales coastline. On display you'll find animals from around the world show in nine different zones, plus an outdoor seal cover too where you can meet the harbour seals! 

You'll see the only under water tunnel in the largest aquarium in North Wales and see sharks, rays and much more all in their natural habitats. You can also feed the friendly rays and other creatures too that can found swimming around. 

The face your fears exhibits contains eerie creatures such as spiders and rats! Out of the Blue contains a moon jellyfish which can be seen in different coloured lighting. The special led lights that have been installed shows how transclucent they are too and the interactiv display allows you to create your own light show! 

The beach coasts zone will have you come face to face with spider crabs and the beach zone you'll see cold blooded reptiles asking underneath the heat lamps. 

The tropical reef zone features clownfish, tangs, sharks and more! Including a lionfish and eels and some other dangerous creatures. It's a miniature tropical adventure in North Wales and you'll learn all about how each animal plays an important role in the ecosystem. 

There's also a shark nursey where you may even have the chance to see some baby sharks, rays and eggs too and even some hatching! You can also have some hands-on-time in the rockpools too featuring crabs and starfish. Get up close to them and learn about rock pool life during the touchpool encounters throughout the day.

You will find all your favourite gifts within the shop, from sea life stationery to a large selection of soft toys, including sharks, turtles, rays and clown fish.

Is Rhyl SeaQuarium fully accessible?

The site is accessible to prams, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. It is a mixture of surfaces including tarmac, wood and concrete. Steps edges are highlighted throughout the site.
