Southend Planetarium offers a unique experience to explore the night sky! If you've ever wanted to see what outer space looks like, then the planetarium offers an interactive experience with lots to learn!
The planetarium is situated on the first floor within the central museum, and shows run every Saturday and Sunda at 2pm. Pre-booking is essential so make sure you book ahead! The shows run for around 60 minutes, and there's plenty of opportunities to ask your questions.
The shows are completley live too and show the wonders of the night sky, constellation, solar system and beyond. The shows seat around 20 guests and are suitable for children over the age of seven years old.
You can also combine your visit with a guided tour of the museum too! You can head out on a general history trail, exploring time from pre-history to modern times in Southend.
Or why not dive into Anglo-Saxon history with trails and activities! There's lots to learn at the museum.
Located on the A127 just off the main junction between the A127 and A13. The Museum and Planetarium is brown signed off both roads.
