About this activity

Kent Police Museum brings history to life and is a free educational and fun experience for the whole family, which looks at the history and development of one of the UK's largest police forces.

On your visit, you'll get to try on real police uniform, see the evidence that brought Kent criminals to justice, step into the Edwardian cell block and enjoy lots of interactive displays on your trip around.

There are a number of artefacts from 1857 to the present day, including unforms, equipments, historic documents and official records.

The museum building itself, is formed of two former police houses and even retains the original cell block which gives a unique feature to the museum experience.

The best thing about the museum is that it's free! Come down whenever they're open and discover the history of Kent police and imagine what life was like years ago.
