National Showcaves Centre for Wales is one of Wales top attractions and there's ten attractions in one! So there's lots to do and see for all ages. Come face to face with life-sized dinosaurs or see the gentle horses at the Shire Horse Centre, the possibilities are endless!
There are three different caves in total, the Dan-yr-Ogof, Cathedral Cave and the Bone Cave which all offer something different. In the Dan-yr-Ogof cave you'll walk for about 1 kilometre through decorated passageways and tunnels.
The Cathedral Cave features forty feet high waterfalls and enormous caverns and the Bone Cave is where you'll learn about the human skeletons that were buried here.
The Dinosaur Park is one of the largest collections of life-sized dinosaur models and there's 200 of them in total! See if you can find your favourite and is you can tel the difference from a T-Rex and a Brachiosaurus.
Meeet the gentle giant Shire Horses and meet the goats and ponies took at the farm! Watch the chipmunks race through the tunnels and don't forget to say hello to the sheepdog too!
There's also an Iron Age Village and museum that used the latest interactive technology to tell you about the stories of the caves. You'll be able to paint your dinosaur too and find out how our behaviours impact the environment both above and below the ground!
Discover fossils and pand for gold too! There's is so much to do here whatever you're interested in and you'll come away with a whole new range of fun facts!
Leave the motorway at junction 45, and follow the signs for the A4067 North (Pontardawe). You will then see the brown tourist signs for Dan-yr-Ogof Showcaves. Follow these signs all the way up the valley; from the motorway the journey time is approximately 25 minutes.

The Coffee Shop offers a selection of hot meals and snacks, drinks etc throughout the day.
Get here early and allow plenty of time to see all of the attractions on site!
Well stocked "Rock and Dinosaur" Shop offering something to all pocket sizes be they a collector or just young at heart!
Due to the natural layout and mountainous location of the complex, a number of very steep natural inclines and declines have to be negotiated when moving around the site (in addition there are over 120 steps in the first cave), this applies both above and below ground. With this in mind, access for wheelchair users has to be restricted for Health and Safety reasons in high-risk areas.
