Gower Heritage Centre is a visitor attraction and rural life museum based around a working 12th century water-mill. There are craft activities and guided tours that take you around the mill and how they make flour for a fun day out with the family.
There are a variety of different workshops and activities to get involved in. Including a traditional bread making experience, flour making experience and cooking workshops!
Behind the mill there is a sanctuary for the senses with lots of learning experience to be had. You can book seasonal workshops including wild crafts, foraging days and botanical printing to unleash your artistic side.
The traditional bread making workshop is popular as the 12th century waterwheel at the centre turns the stones that grin d the flour that you will use. You'll learn about the different flours and grains, kneading and proving to be master the skill of bread making. You'll get to take home your finished product too!
The little gem bead shop has a wide range of handmake jewellery and classes that run throughout the year so you can make your own pretty jewellery items.
The arts centre has lots of creative workshops for all ages and abilities and the children will be able to create artwork for large murals both inside and outside. Katie, the local artist, has years of experience working with children and she provides a positive and creative space for everyone to get involved in.
They also have a cinema! It's the smallest cinema in wales and seats up to 20 people!
The Gower Heritage Centre is in Parkmill, on the A4118 (South Gower road) just 8 miles to the west of Swansea.
