Llanelli WWT National Wetland Centre is a haven for wildlife and allows you to get up close and feed some of them! The park is full of life all year round and it's a great place to enjoy nature and get outdoors. 

There's lots of open space, sights and sounds to experience. They have numerous nature activities that run every weekend and school holiday, so it's best to check before you visit but some activities on offer include bird watching and minibeast hunts! 

Did you know you can also find flamingos here too?! They're very vocal and the bright pink can be seen vividly as they stand in their big flock! Watch them interact with each other and remember to take some pictures! 

The park has 456 acres of lakes, pools, streams, lagoons and more which all are home to an abundance of wildlife. From orchids, to insects, and birds there's so many animals that call this place their home. In Winter, there are around 50,000 migratory birds that comes here. The millennium wetlands was opened in the year 2000 and attracts a variety of birds including gulls and dragonflys, see what you can spot. 

There's lots of wild outdoor play too for the kids! Leap across the swaps, walk the ropes and run around in the playground. Take a visit to the wishing well and make your wish or peek in the wooden roundhouse and walk through the giant reeds! There's wooden instruments too so you can make some interesting sounds. Just don't forget your wellies on the rainy days! 

You can make bird nests, play alongside the flamingos and sit back and relax in the cafe. Make sure to check out the website so you know what's happening before you visit.
