Scottish Owl Centre

About this activity

Scottish Owl Centre has one of the largest collections of owls in the world. You'll come face to face with the owls, from the giant Siberian Eagle Owl to the tiny Scops Owl, you'll learn all about their habitats and how to help their conservation. 

Explore the themes areas of the centre and meet the owls from all over the world. You'll get hands-on in the owl school and see the amazing flying displays too, which will make it a day to remember! 

They also have a range of experiences like the owl encounters where you'll learn how to handle and fly the owls in their indoor arena. You'll also have some personal owl tuition and have full access to the centre. 

There are over 140 owls in total and 50 species from across the world. They have the largest collection of trained owls too in the world and each have their own name and unique personality and can be seen in the flying displays. 

In lofty's lodge you can crawl into the nest box and learn how to speak Barn Owls and the in the rainforest realm you'll experience the sights and sounds of the owls of the tropics. Find the owls who like to fish near the pond and test your knowledge in the interactive education centre. 

There's lots to do with a play area and picnic spot to enjoy with the family and burn off some energy!
