Central Park

About this activity

Central Park is in the heart of Peterborough city centre and is a great place to take the kids if you want to escape the hustle and bustle! Spend the whole day here wandering the park, playing in the play areas and make sandcastles!

There are lots of formal and informal areas. There ar ehuge play areas filled with swings, slides and climbing frames so the kids can run around and burn off some energy!

There is also a sandpit and water features and paddling pool which are great for the Summer months as it feels like you're at the beach!

There's lots of sunken and sensory gardens with benches dotted around. They're a great place to sit and relax and admire all of the colours throughout the seasons.

If you fancy a spot of sport, then there are tennis courts, bowling greens, table tennis, outdoor gym, football goal and much more. So whatever sport you fancy playing there is something here for you. 

Don't forget to stroll past the bird aviary and see the birds flying about. 

On site there is an excellence cafe selling plenty of hot and cold refreshments, but you could always bring you own picnic too as there's lots of picnic areas and places to sit and eat!
