Norfolk Lavender is a world famous lavender gardens and oil distillery founded in 1932. It's renowned worldwide and has nearly 100 acres of lavender, set in beautiful gardens in Norfolk.
They're open all year round, but Summer is the most vibrant season to visit as the lavender bursts into flowers! You can book a tour with an expert guide who will talk you about the history, how they harvest and distill to get the oil too. You'll also learn how to grow and care for your plants and you'll be taken to the herb garden where you'll learn about the various uses of lavender.
The herb garden is filled with over 50 different herbs and are laid out in the style of a physic garden. You'll be able to touch and smell the different types too! In total there are also over 50 different varieties of lavender arranged in planted beds. Will you be able tot ell the different between them?!
You'll also find the animal gardens, home to an exciting variety of mammals, birds and reptiles too. You'll be able to enjoy both domestic and wild animals and learn all about their natural environment.
There is so much to see and discover in the large grounds and gardens. The scent and sight lavender dominates the area of around 18 acres, but they're also balanced by a host of other plants too, including a bamboo wood collection!
Norfolk Lavender is easy to find, they are on the main A149 road just 3 miles south of Hunstanton, Follow the brown tourist signs!

Dogs on leads are welcome and will enjoy access to the main areas. However they will not be admitted into the shops, Norfolk Lavender Tearooms & Restaurant or Animal Gardens & Outdoor Play area.
