Ferry Meadows Country Park is an unspoilt country park in the heart of Peterborough, with plenty to do for the whole family! Take a walk around the many paths, spot wildlife or do some watersports if the weather is nice!
The park is the largest in the regions and is a great visitor attraction. There are plenty of walks and trails of different lengths, so whether you want to walk all around the lake or take a stroll through the Bluebell Woods, there's lots for all abilities.
The park also is a great opportunity to try some water sports too. You can hire out paddle boards, peddle boats or try some sailing, it's a great chance to get out on the water and try something new.
You can also hire bikes too. You can choose from mountain bikes, hybride bikes, children's bikes and even a tandem too to explore the park more quickly.
There are plenty of play areas too that cater for all ages. With swings, frames and more, it's a great opportunity for the kids to let off some steam. Head aboard the railway too which takes you through the meadows and views of the lake.
They have lots of seasonal events and activities all year round. Whether you want to become a range, go on trails using your activity booklets or head to one of their family-friendly festivals, theres lots to do for all ages.
Ferry Meadows lies 3 miles west of Peterborough and just two miles east of the A1. On all major routes into the city, look for and follow the brown tourist attraction signs for NENE PARK or the country park symbol. Ferry Meadows is signed on Oundle Road (A605).

Ferry Meadows has two onsite cafes – Ferry Meadows Cafe, overlooking Overton Lake and next to the Visitor Centre, and Lakeside Kitchen & Bar, overlooking Gunwade Lake
The Visitor Centre stocks a wide range of toys and games such as kites, footballs, skittles for a great day out along with gifts, souvenirs and sweet treats!
