The House of Manannan will allow you to discovr the Celtic and Viking and maritime past of the Island. The legendary sea god Manannan will guide you through the history from the busy fishing ports of the 19th century to the beginnings of the island's steam packet company.
Find out what life was like in a Viking longhouse and join the crew of the Odin's Raven Viking longship. Explore the stone crosses dotted around the Isle of Man and listen to some of the stories in the stones!
You'll walk around the sailmakers loft, chandlers shop, quayside and more with sights and smells from the Manx kipper yard too!
At the museum, you'll uncover the importance of the sea to the live of the people on the Isle of Man and learn all about the past and present by the characters telling the stories to you.
Come face to face with merchants, smugglers and sea captains, admire the carvings and check out the temporary exhibitions all year round. There's also a free walking tour which you can download that will tell you lots of fascinating facts throughout your visit.

If you are traveling by car, head towards Peel, which is located on the west coast of the island. If you are traveling by public transport, you can take a bus to Peel from Douglas or other towns on the island.
Once you arrive in Peel, head towards the quayside. The House of Manannan is located on the quayside, next to the Peel Castle.
There is a car park located near the quayside, where you can park your car.
