About Manx Museum

The Manx Museum is filled with artefacts and treasures that are all unique to the Isle of Man. The 10,000 year old history is all presented through film, galleries and interactive displays and is a great place to visit to learn more about the island.

Every item they collect is significant as it's related to a person or event on the Isle of Man. One of the olfest objects is the skeleton of the extinct Giant Deer which roamed the island during the Ice Age!

Some items are unique and others common, but they all show what life was like on the island and they're all on display at the museum.

You'll explore the experiences of Manx men, women and children in conflict from 1750 to the present day and take a look at the National History Gallery that explore the landscape wildlife and habitats too.

Discover the world-famous TT races, riders and motorbikes and see the Viking hoards of silver and gold in the Viking gallery.

You'll also learn about the story of Tynwald, the oldest continuous Parliament in the world, so there's lots to learn!

They also have regular events throughout the year, from tours to workshops and special exhibitions, so make sure to check out the website before you visit so you know what's happening when and where!
