Butterfly House and Seaforde Gardens is a nature filled adventure for the whole family! It's situated in the historic Demesne of Seaforde in County Down and there's lots to see for all ages.
The butterfly house is a tranquil jungle home, filled with free-flying butterflies and exotic plant life. You'll wander around or sit in the heated jungle and enjoy a close-up experience of colourful butterflies and plants. You may even find that some butterflies will come and land on you, they're very attracted to colourful fabrics!
You'll be able to observe the pupae hatch into butterflies and learn more about theanimals and their life cycle.
Follow the butterflies as they feast on the nectar from the fruit tables. You can even see some mini-beasts too! From the python to the glow in the dark scorpions, tropical fish and some very chatty parrots, there's lots more to see other than butterflies!
The gardens are also a must visit!
The centrepiece is Ireland's oldest living maze which was planted in 1975. See if you can make your way to the centre or try and challenge your family and friends to see who can reach the middle first.
There are also herb gardens, spiral staircase with a viewing platform and lots of plants, flowers and trees to admire!
