Morston Quay is the ideal starting point if you're exploring the Norfolk Coast, with lots of locally operated ferry trips, pristine salt marshes and lots of wildlife to see!
The quay is located within the shelter of Blakeney point. It's great for keen bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts, with an onsite visitor centre for walking trail information. At the centre you can pick up one of the wildlife bingo sheets and try to spot and tick off each box as you look around for wildlife!
The best way to get up close to the wildlife is on one of their boat trips. It's home to England's largest grey seal colony, and the boats depart from Morston Quay. There's lots of local businesses that run the trips, so just remember to book in advance as they run at different times according to the tide. Make sure to come prepared and bring your camera with you!
You can also enjoy the vast pen landscape by kayaking and paddle boarding too, and there's lots of picnic spots and walks around the side for varying abilities.
Morston Quay is on the A149. Once entering the village of Morston, the turning for the Quay is signposted on a sharp bend. Please be aware of vehicles exiting as the track narrows and has speed bumps in place.
