About Amazona Zoo

Amazona Zoo is located on the north Norfolk coast in Cromer and has over 200 birds and animals from the tropics of South America. You'll see jaguars, monkeys, otters, owels and much more and even lots of interactive educational areas for all areas. 

Head to the feline forest where you'll see jaguar Balam who joined the zoo just in 2022! You'll fine the Chilean flamingos and even baby ones too which you'll be able to spot as they have grey feathers! There's also monkeys, tapirs,macaws and parrots and lots more animals too explore. You'll find the creepy crawleys over in the tropical house and spider enclosure too! 

After you've explored the animals, why not head to Jungle Tumbles which is their indoor play area for under 12's! Its filled with slides, ropers, bridges, tunnels and lots of interactive toys too. And if the weather is dry, then they have an outdoor adventure play park with jumping pillows and a picnic area to find run about it and enjoy. 

If you're looking to take a school trip here then they have yurts which they use as a hub for educating visitors, including facts about the animals and the history of south Americas. They make learning interesting and bring wildlife and conservation issues to life in a unique learning environment. You'll all see some amazing artefacts and learn about different habitats! 

Don't forget to check when the animals feeds are too and make sure to ask the staff lots of questions when you see them around the zoo as they want to make your visit memorable!

The Jungle Cafe is open daily and there are lots of picnic areas too.

Does Amazona Zoo have a gift shop?

You can buy your unique Amazona gift or memento from your day out in their lovely and well equipped gift shop.

Is Amazona Zoo fully accessible?

There is disabled access at Amazona Zoo. All designated concrete paths are wheelchair friendly, but bare in mind the gravel paths can be rocky. All areas are wheelchair accessible, with slopes and ramps to the main areas.
