The City of Norwich Aviation Museum houses an impressive collection of aircrafts and has been home to Norfolk's aviation heritage for over forty years. There is an outdoor space housing nearly 30 aircrafts, cockpits and exhibits!
There are several different aircrafts from single pop aircrafts to large airliners and military bombers! There are some both inside and outside to explore.
Inside you'll find personal accounts of those involved with aviation in and around Norfolk and larer displays showing the likes of Boulton Paul, Norwich Airport, 74 Squadrom and more.
The museum is also the official museum of 100 Group and houses a collection of memorabilia, personal accounts and photos too.
They also have an impressive displays of aero engines ranging from old piston radials to modern jets and the innovative Pegasus used on the Harrier Jump Jet. You'll be able to see the internal parts too!
They have many events on all year round too so if you are interested in aviation and its history, head to the website to see what's happening before you visit!
The City of Norwich Aviation Museum is situated alongside the Northern Distributor Road (NDR) and Norwich International Airport.
The museum is easily accessible via the village of Horsham St. Faith and only a twenty-minute drive from Norwich City Centre via the A140 (Cromer Road).
