Sheringham Beach is an award-winning Blue Flag beach in Norfolk with golden sand, shingle, rock pools and more for a perfect day out at the beach with the whole family!
The beach is many up of sand with areas of shingle and larger stones and at low tide there is plenty of golden sand for families to sunbathe and explore the rock pools filled with marine life. When the tide comes in, the beach disappears!
There's a promenade which runs along the top of the seawall defences, offering coastal walks in both directions. The beach is overlooked by nearby cafes and resturants with lovely sea views! You'll find wooden groynes which dive the beach and help to reduce erosion and movement of sand.
The beach is popular with families, with lifeguards on the beach during the summer months. You'll find public toilets, beach huts and a dog friendly zone too.
Bring a picnic with you, set up on the sand and enjoy the beach all year round!
Pedestrian access is from Beach Road down a ramp or via West Cliff Garden.
