Blakeney National Nature Reserve offers uninterrupted views of the beautiful coastline and spectacular wildlife to spot, set in the heart of Norfolk.
The reserve has wide open spaces and a four mile long shingle spit of Blakeney oint which offers protection for the harbour and surrounding area, providing a great habitat for the wildlife! The reserve has vast displays of summer breeding tern colony and winter breeding grey seals, so there's something to see all year round.
You'll be able to see the seals between the end of October and mid-January and the best way to get up close to the is by booking one of the locally operated ferry trips which depart from Morston Quay.
If you didn't want to explore on the water, there is Friary Hills, which has a mixture of grasslands, trees and more and is a great spot for a picnic, with panoramic views.
There are lots of walking trails too for a scneic walk. You can take a short circular walk, or a longer coastal walk too, which is shwwlchair accessible and a great way to spot the local wildlife.
Blakeney, Morston Quay and Cley are all on the A149 Cromer to Hunstanton road
