Holt Country Park is on the edge of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Beauty and is set in 100 acres of mixed woodlands and parks. It's open all year round and it's a great spot to get the whole family outdoors and in nature!
The park is perfect for wildlife enthusiasts, dog walkers, families and anyone who is looking for a relaxing stroll outdoors. The woodland is dominated by scots pines and native broadleaves making it a real tranquil setting. When you visit in the seasons there are lots of beautiful flowers on display, from orchids in Summer to snowdrops in Winter. You'll spot lots of wildlife here too! From woodpeckers, deers, goldcrests and many more. Bring your camera and take some pictures!
Every year there are lots of outdoor events for the local community to enjoy. They promote the park and open spaces and encourage countryside education too. Just find them on Facebook to see what's coming up where and when!
You'll find lots of waymarked trails for all abilities, picnic areas and a children's play area for the little ones to run about in. On your way around look out for the culptures and carvings too. Head to the sensory garden and listen to the sounds and smell the flowers for a relaxing spot to take in the fresh air.
There are toilets, visitor centre and a tea room too if you wanted to stop and have something to eat and drink!
