About this activity

Welcome to Tunnels Beaches, an exciting and unique family-friendly attraction located in the beautiful coastal town of Ilfracombe, Devon. Tunnels Beaches is an amazing spot to visit for families who are looking for a fun, unique, and unforgettable experience. Whether you’re planning a day trip or a vacation, this destination offers a little something for everyone.

One of the things that make Tunnels Beaches so exciting is the amazing network of tunnels that run through the cliffs and lead down to the beach. These tunnels were hand-carved in the 1820s, and they add a sense of adventure and intrigue to the whole experience. As you wind your way down the tunnels, you’ll catch glimpses of the stunning coastline, and you’ll get a sense of the history of the area. It’s an experience that you won’t soon forget!

Once you’ve emerged from the tunnels, you’ll be greeted by a breathtaking view of the beach. With its crystal-clear water and smooth sand, Tunnels Beaches is a great spot for families to spend a day soaking up the sun, swimming, and playing in the sand. The beach is also well-protected from the wind, which makes it a great spot for families with young children who might be sensitive to the weather.
