Rhossili Bay Beach stretches for three miles and provides breathtaking views across the Gower peninsula. At low tide, you can even see the 1887 wreck of Helvetia too! There's lots of fun to be had during your day at the beach.
Enjoy a scenic walk across the stretch of golden sands or head further afield and explore more of the South Gower Coast. The beach is a great spot for swimming, surfing and to fly a kite if the weather allows!
The area is home to a variety of inscts and wildlife, including the rare black bog ant. Walk up to Rhossili Down, which is the highest point on Gower. You will really feel like you are on top of the world! You'll be able to see as far as West Wales and the north Devon coast!
From the visitor centre you can walk along the grassy cliff top to the old coastguard lookout and you'll see sheep along the way, as they love to graze in the area! There's also over 15 hectares of wildflower meadows too.
When the tide is out, you may be able to spot grey seals lazing on the rocks. You can also go in seach of burial chambers, Bronze Age cairns and Iron Age forts too.
With such a wide and expansive area, you can have so much fun! Bring a picnic with you, a ball and the family and have a brilliant day by the beach!
From Swansea (J42) take the A483 to Swansea. Continue on to the A4067. At Black Pill, turn on to the B4436. Turn right to keep on the B4436 at Pennard before turning left on to the A4118. At Scurlage, take the B4247 to Rhosili. From Swansea (J47) Take the A483 and then take the A484, Turn left to Gowerton. At lights, take the B4295 to Llanrhidian. Then take the B4271 and follow signs for Reynoldston. Continue to A4118 and turn right. At Scurlage, take the B4247 to Rhossili.

The car park at Rhosili has accessible toilets (not National Trust). There's a short gravel footpath along the cliff top where you can take in the views. Access to Rhosili beach is via a steep path with steps.
